The National Palace Museum Adheres to Administrative Neutrality
Release date:2013/06/13
Clarification statement

At the Legislative Yuan on May 29, the National Palace Museum (NPM) received inquiries from legislators concerning charges made against former NPM Director Shi Shou-Chien’s suspected dereliction of duty in 2007, indicating that Shi’s party Kuomintang used the administrative system to suppress the opposing parties. Detailed inspection shows that the said case was investigated and prosecuted by the Shi-Lin District Prosecutors Office during a period where the Democratic Progressive Party was in power. Therefore, the alleged accusation regarding the Kuomintang ‘s use of administrative system to suppress the opposing party was false. In addition, former Director Shi et al. were acquitted by the judicial court, proving the innocence of Shi et al. and negating the argument made by the said legislators.
