General Rules and Regulations
During your visit to the Museum, we ask that you please observe the following rules to ensure the safety of the objects and for your own viewing comfort:
1. In the Museum buildings, please refrain from speaking in a loud voice, having children running around, eating and drinking, smoking, or improperly disposing of wastepaper or other articles.
2. In the Museum buildings, please refrain from using your cell phone.
3. To ensure the safety of the objects and enhance your viewing pleasure, all forms of photography and filming in the exhibition areas are prohibited as of 1 June 2005. Thank you for your cooperation.
4. The Museum reserves the right to refuse admission, at its discretion, to those wearing improper attire, bringing pets, or taking toys into the Museum.


Rules for Free School Group Trips
Purpose: To increase the enjoyment of school members for Chinese art and culture, allowing school members to enjoy while learning and cultivate personal knowledge.
Applicable to: All students and instructors at government-registered public and private primary schools or above who wish to conduct learning outside of school at the Museum (including instructors pursuing education working).


Services:

1. Free visits to the exhibitions are available daily at four times: 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. The number of individuals for admission is limited to no more than 300 at any of the above times.
2. Oral report: School groups of 300 or less are required to be given an oral report of about 10 to 20 minutes, explaining the history of the Museum, exhibitions, and rules to be observed. Groups of more than 300 should arrange two separate times for admission.
3. Selected artworks tour: School groups of 120 or less should first apply beforehand.
4. The Museum offers explanatory materials on art at its website for students, who are welcome to download them first before visiting.
5. Free visit to the Chih-shan Garden: Open Tuesday to Sunday, please first make arrangements with the Museum. Please present your approval notice from the Museum when entering the Garden. School graduation groups are welcome to coordinate a visit to the Chih-shan Garden.

Please note:
1. During school group visits, teachers must accompany the group at all times to ensure the safety and order among students.
2. To ensure the safety of the objects and enhance your viewing pleasure, all forms of photography and filming in the exhibition areas are prohibited as of 1 June 2005. Thank you for your cooperation.
3. When visiting the Chih-shan Garden, teachers shall be responsible for the safety of students and prevent any feeding of the fish.
4. The Museum reserves the right to refuse admission, at its discretion, to those wearing improper attire, bringing pets, or taking toys into the Museum.


Please also note:
1. When visiting the Museum, please present your written approval from the Museum for visiting the galleries and Chih-shan Garden.
2. Schools that must change their visit date shall notify as soon as possible Ms. Lü Hsiu-yü in the Education Promotion Department at +886-2- 2881-2021 (x2298), who should also be notified at least ten minutes before arrival on the day of visit.
3. Adults or others who wish to accompany students on school trips to the Museum must purchase separate admission.


Three Steps to Arrange a Visit:

Two weeks prior to the visit, please call +886-2- 2881-2021 (x2298) and inform the following: date, time, number of people, and tour services.

Download the Application Form, fill it out, sign and/or seal it, and then fax it to +886-2-2881-4138. Please call after faxing to confirm receipt. 

Take the Museum return fax or mailed notice on the day of visit and report to the Information Desk at the Exhibition I(Main Building).
