Chia-yü-kuan Checkpoint

        Chia-yü-kuan checkpoint is located at Chiu-chüan County, Kansu, at the western end of the Ming-era Great Wall. During the Ch'ing, the fortress remained in use as a key gateway to the west. It was repaired during the late 18th century.
