7.Film Summary

Adventures in the NPM is a 3D animation film produced by the National Palace Museum researchers, education promoters and technology engineers. The entire film is 12 minutes long featuring pieces like the Han dynasty Jade pi-hsieh animal to ward of evil, Northern Sung Pillow in the shape of a recumbent child with white glace, and the Sung dynasty Jade duck. The antiquities are molded into mischievous, interesting and intelligent characters who lead the audiences to explore the museum for a night. Through their expeditions, the audiences are able to learn about the museum’s treasured pieces and its history. The film is not only appropriate for all ages, fun and educational but is also a good introduction to visitors coming to our museum for the first time.
