Introduction of artistic stone section

Left: Stone from Africa of the Equator reveal their passion and joy of life. Right: Coloring and sculpturing technique depict extreme opposites.

This is a light and dark gray consociated artwork. It combined a stone black as charcoal from freezing Sweden to symbolize the silence bred in bleak wind of polar circle and another one light gray stone interspersed spots as black sesame from blistering Africa of equator to confide the liveliness and passion of tropical continent. Both of them reveal extremely different characteristic of texture.

Left: Surfaces of the stones are polished from rough to ultra-smooth gradually. Right: Glossy stone surface reflecting the eaves of the Museum.

This stone group has same length. All of surface of those stones were polished from rough to ultra-smooth gradually. The part of ultra-smooth is glossily and even can reflect blue sky & white cloud on high. It conveyed the contrast between "Wu-wei" (Inertia)- nature and "Wu-pu-wei" (Exertion) - artificial.

Left: Retaining original surface of the stone. Right: Cloud-like gyrating texture.

This Howlite is from Hualien. Stone sculptor kept the primary surface of stone - the gyrate texture like cloud after scoured. It's echoing dexterously with the mountain rock of exhibited landscape painting in showroom of the NPM (National Palace Museum).
