Introduction
Yang Shoujing, courtesy name Xingwu, was a native of Yidu who adopted the pseudonym Linsu Laoren during his senior years. The Linsuyuan Garden and the Guanhaitang Library are the names of the two neighboring book-collection buildings of Yang. The Bibliophile Yang Shoujing and His Guanhaitang Library of Rare Editions and Antiquarian Books Special Exhibition is divided into four themes, which are "Yang Shoujing and His Calligraphy," "Book Collecting in Japan," "An Eye on the Cosmos," and "The Spread of Chinese Books." By examining these artifacts and records, museum guests will be able to learn about Yang's incessant efforts and remarkable work in assembling rare and antiquarian books overseas and his contributions to conserving Chinese culture.
