Author: HE, Yan-Chiuan
ISBN: 978-957-562-668-6
Price: NT1400
This is an exhibition catalogue published for the Myriad Forms in the Tip of a Brush: The Art of Calligraphy by Zhu Yunming Special Exhibition. Zhu Yunming, also known as Zhu Zhishan, was a skilled poet and calligrapher whose exploits had earned him the proclamation as one of the “Four Talents of Wu” along with Tang Yin, Wen Zhengming, and Xu Zhenqing. To host this special exhibition, a total of 24 art pieces have been carefully selected. They include art replicas, arts for appreciation, and creative arts made by Zhu Yunming since the age of 31 all the way to his late years. His calligraphy style is diversified and constantly changing, incorporating traits such as power, softness, elegance, and leisure. By studying these art pieces, museum guests will be able to recognize the myriad forms and brilliant styles of Zhu Yunming. They will gain an insight into the essence of the art of calligraphy from the Ming Dynasty.
