  • Adults Multimedia Guide

    With the small-sized and lightweight audio hand-held devices visitors can now enjoy personalized tours by choosing what they want to listen to during their visit in the galleries. The audio touring system provided by the NPM, available in Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese, Hakka Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Cantonese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Sign Language for the cost of NT$150 per rental. Visitors who wish to rent the audio players can inquire at the audio tour information desk.

  • Kids Multimedia Guide

    The Kids Multimedia Guide is designed for children of age 7-12. Narrated by Emperor Qianlong and a 10 year old boy, Art, the guide leads children on an adventure throughout the National Palace Museum. Available in Chinese and English, this guide is suitable for a family audience and can be borrowed from the Main Building First Floor Audio Guide Counter for NT$100.

    To rent the adult and/or children audio touring system, visitors are required to deposit a valid proof of ID (ID card, driver’s license, health insurance card, or passport) or NT$3,000 in cash, which will be returned to the visitors upon the return of the audio touring equipment.

    * To complement with the Kids Multimedia Guide, the National Palace Museum launches a special augmented reality app "神奇國寶AR Play," which can be downloaded for free on App Store. After the visit, by scanning the images on the pamphlet of the Kids Audio Guide, you will see the 3D animations and explore the fun of interaction with virtual antiquities! This app features augmented reality design and audio guide for four national treasures, including "Wine cup with doucai polychrome decoration of chicken in a garden," "Jade flower holder in the shape of fish-creature," "Fang wine vessel with hunting scene pattern," and "Yi water vessel with an animal handle and feet in human figures." (Please download and use it in WIFI-accessible environment.)
