Mondays When the National Palace Museum is Open in 2024 and Museum Opening Hours During the Chinese New Year Holiday

Please find below information pertaining to Mondays when the National Palace Museum (NPM) Northern and Southern Branches are open in 2024 and museum opening hours during the Chinese New Year holiday:

1.To accommodate visitors during long holidays, the NPM is open on the following Mondays:

1. January 1, 2024 (New year, free admission)
2. February 12, 2024 (the third day of the Chinese New Year)
3. June 10, 2024 (Dragon Boat Festival)
4. September 16, 2024 (the day before the Mid-Autumn Festival)

2. Opening hours of the NPM during the Chinese New Year holiday and notices:

1. The NPM is open to the public from February 8, 2024 (Thursday, the day before Chinese New Year’s Eve) to February 14 (Wednesday, the fifth day of the Chinese New Year). On February 9, 2024 (Friday, Chinese New Year’s Eve), the NPM is closed at 4:00 p.m.
2. Notices: Because of the large number of visitors visiting the NPM during the Chinese New Year holiday, travel agencies are asked to book group audio touring systems in advance in accordance with NPM regulations and arrive on time. Because of NPM’s limited storage space and to reduce line-up time, please do not carry large bags or backpacks (i.e., those larger than A3 paper size) or wear heavy clothes when entering the museum.
